I went for a hike with Lucy in Peterson Creek park today. The weather was perfect for a walk, cool and sunny. We started out at another park at the end of my street so I took a picture of the street I live on. I also took a picture of a cool vine.
On the way back I ran into an older man from Nova Scotia. It is odd running into someone visiting from Nova Scotia, and me from Ottawa who just moved here, on a trail somewhere in Kamloops. In the course of our conversation I learned he was an avid hiker, skier, and snowshoer, and he was just loving the trails in Kamloops. We were about to part ways when he noticed that we were both wearing the same brand of boots, Hi Tec. So a nice interruption in my somewhat lonely but pleasant walk.
We eventually found our way to Peterson Creek, and had an enjoyable yet quiet walk along some of the trails that go more toward the city.
