Went for a drive up to Batchelor Heights to see if we could find a suggested Mountain Bike area, but only found the place where people dirt bike up completely vertical hills. The road we were on led to Lac du Bois Glasslands park. So we drove around a bit up there and got out for a short hike. Lac du Bois is very big provincial park with a very interesting landscape. Once again my camera can not to it justice.

The red you see around this salt pond above is some special kind of lichen.

Another beautiful day, but a bit on the cold side, that is why we opted to walk instead of bike. Although that is salt, not ice around the shore of the pond.

The view is so big, the landscape so unusual. We appear to live in a very unique area.
A lone tree, maybe looking for some company, tries to stand tall.

The view above and below went on for mile and miles.
So more exploring to do in the park.
